Camus Brand History
CAMUS was founded by Jean-Baptiste Camus in 1863 in Cognac, France. It is the largest independent family-owned business outside of the four major Cognac houses and also the largest winery in the Borderies single cru. Borderies is the smallest of the six Cognac crus, and its grapes possess unique violet floral notes and nutty undertones, which are the hallmark of the entire Camus range. The brand is known in the Chinese market for its "Golden Flower Camus Élégance" emblem (a golden floral pattern on the bottle), and from the 1960s to 1980s, it was a top choice for banquets in Hong Kong.
