The Rémy Martin Napoleon range has gradually left the mainstream market and now circulates only on the secondary market. The 1980s Hong Kong edition uses a red plastic cap, black label and English-only back label; a complete example with its red paper box is sought after by old-bottle collectors. Transitional editions also appeared in the 1990s, retaining the Napoleon name with small design changes.
If you have more than one bottle of wine, you can first group it by brand, level or year, and then use the following series pages to compare similar prices:
| Version/Era | Identification characteristics and collection points |
| 1980–1989 Hong Kong version Rémy Martin Napoleon | Red plastic lid, black horizontal label, pure English back label, red carton, slightly short bottle. |
| 1990s Transitional Napoleon | The red cover design is retained, the label is slightly decorated with gold, and the back label is added in Chinese and English. |
| Other out-of-print old imported spirits from the 1980s | During the same period, Hennessy gold head, Martell gold head gold ring, Camus gold flower, etc. were also collected at the same time. |
| Tax Free version of the 1980s | Airport duty-free version, marked with "Tax Free" on the back, circulated in small quantities. |
The carton, bottle and cap of the Hong Kong version of imported spirits from the 1980s should all have natural signs of aging: slight wear and tear on the corners of the carton, very light fogging on the inside of the glass of the bottle, and slight aging cracks in the plastic of the cap. All features should be natural and uniform; if the carton is too new but the bottle is too old, it may be a replacement product; if the bottle cap is too new but the carton is old, it may be a replacement product. It is recommended to take four pictures of the bottle body, the top of the bottle cap, the side of the carton (to see the degree of wear), and the back label.
Every old imported spirits from the 1980s is out of print. Chunxiang Wine Merchants has more than ten years of experience in identifying old wines. After WhatsApp takes the photo, the appraiser will give a range price based on the version's age, condition, and rarity. If the customer has multiple units of old imported spirits (regardless of brand) of the same period, the entire batch can be valued at one time, which will be more competitive than the valuation of a single unit.

A drop of 1 cm is considered moderate and the value will be deducted by approximately 20–25%. No matter how serious it is (more than 1.5cm), it is recommended to consider drinking it instead of collecting it.
