Rémy Martin is the only brand among the four major Cognac houses that focuses on Fine Champagne (Grande + Petite Champagne mixture) and is famous for its centaur logo. The old version of the XO series (from the 1980s to the 1990s) features a long-necked metal cap and a squat bottle, which is an iconic model among collectors; after 2010, it was upgraded to a crystal centaur high-shoulder bottle. Excellence, Cask 38, and Black Pearl are the current high-end versions.
If you have more than one bottle of wine, you can first group it by brand, level or year, and then use the following series pages to compare similar prices:
| Version/Era | Identification characteristics and collection points |
| 1980–1999 Legacy Long Neck XO | Metal long-neck cap, squat bottle body, pure English back label, mahogany box with copper buckle. |
| 2000–2010 Interim XO Special | The long neck feature is still retained, the bottle body is slightly longer, and the back label is added in Chinese and English. |
| Current XO Excellence (Crystal Centaur Bottle) | High-shoulder bottle, crystal glass craftsmanship, purple label, mahogany gift box. |
| Cask Finish / Cellar Master Series | Limited release, complete with special barrel aging label. |
| Centaure de Diamant Diamond Centaur | Limited and rare edition with diamond details on the bottle. |
The words "Rémy Martin" on the bottom of the bottle are deeply stenciled with the Centaur logo; the old version of the long-neck cap has the "RM" incised logo on the top. Common problems with imitations: the metal lid is dark in color (the real thing is bright gold), the centaur limbs are out of proportion, and the bottle glass is thin. It is recommended to take four photos of the top of the bottle cap, the entire bottle body, the bottom of the bottle, and the copper buckle of the mahogany box.
You can estimate by taking photos on WhatsApp. It is recommended that the old version of the long-neck model be sent with the mahogany box and cloth lining. After confirmation, the appraiser will send someone to the door. The bottle inspection includes checking the fill level, the integrity of the bottle, and the completeness of the box. For the version most frequently consulted by customers, you can directly click to check the latest buyback value:
Depending on the completeness of the packaging, the long-necked metal lid XO from the 1980s is complete with a mahogany box and cloth lining, and the buyback value is about 1.5-2 times that of the current XO Excellence.
XO Excellence is the current flagship XO level; Cask Finish 38-year-old is a limited-aged series that uses base wine over 38 years old and is positioned higher than XO Excellence, with a buyback value of about 2–2.5 times.
The Diamond Centaur has a very small circulation and is complete with a limited edition certificate and original wooden box. The market price is about 5-8 times that of the standard XO Excellence, and it needs to be individually authenticated.
If the copper buckle breaks or falls off, 5–10% of the estimated value will be deducted; if the cloth lining is damaged, an additional 5–8% will be deducted. The wooden box as a whole can still be sold, but the premium space has narrowed.
