Rémy Martin VSOP｜Fine Champagne Cognac's entry-level collection
Rémy Martin VSOP is the entry-level brand, but it uses the Fine Champagne Cognac formula (the same level of base wine production area as XO). This is an advantage that other brands of VSOP do not have. The round red bottle version from the 1980s and 1990s has been out of print for many years and has become an old wine that collectors search for. The current version is changed to a rectangular amber glass bottle.

- bottle shape: Round and fat bottle = old version from the 80s and 90s (valuable); rectangular bottle = standard version after 1995.
- Label color: Red as the main label = early version; red and black gradient = current version after 2000.
- Original paper box: 1980s red carton with hot stamping, fully priced at a premium of about 15%.
- Cellar Master Number: Limited edition must check the serial number on the bottom of the box.
Identify key points
The original version of the old round red bottle has hand-polished marks (tiny concentric circles) on the bottom, while the imitation has a machine-pressed flat surface. The original centaur logo has slender and elegant proportions and clear details of the horseshoes; the imitations are often out of proportion. After the 1990s, a laser anti-counterfeiting code was added to the back label, and the brand logo is displayed under purple light. It is recommended to take four photos of the full body of the bottle, the bottom of the bottle, a close-up of the Centaur logo, and the laser code on the back label.

How much does a VSOP round red bottle from the 1980s cost?
Depending on the completeness of the cartons of the same product, including the cartons and wine lines up to the shoulders, the buyback value is approximately 1.5-1.8 times that of current rectangular bottles. If the seals and flannel bags are complete, the premium will be even more obvious.
Cellar Master Edition Order a quote?
The Cellar Master Limited Vintage Edition is produced in small quantities and comes complete with numbered boxes. The buyback value is approximately 1.6–2 times the standard VSOP.
What is the difference between Fine Champagne labels and ordinary VSOP?
The entire series of Rémy Martin VSOP adopts the formula of Fine Champagne Cognac (the bottle/label has the words Fine Champagne), which is the unique feature of this brand. The version labeled with Fine Champagne is confirmed to be authentic, otherwise it may be counterfeit.
