Rémy Martin VSOP is an entry-level product for the brand, but it uses a Fine Champagne Cognac blend (the same level of base spirit region as XO), which is an advantage not found in other brands' VSO Ps. The round red bottle versions from the 1980s–1990s have become sought-after vintage spirits in collecting circles due to being out of production for many years. The current version features a rectangular amber glass bottle.

Identification Points
Genuine old round red bottles have hand-polished marks on the bottom (small concentric circles), while fakes have machine-pressed flat surfaces. The genuine centaur logo has slender, elegant proportions and clear hoof details; fakes often have disproportionate features. Anti-counterfeit laser codes were added to the back label after the 1990s, revealing the brand logo under UV light.
